[ He smiles back. Because it's so damn good to see her, to know she's still here and he hasn't been completely left alone. It's a thought he doesn't want to dwell on too long though, so he settles for reaching out and dragging a hand down her arm. ]

[ Even if he isn't entirely sure he should trust it. But that's never really stopped him from doing whatever he's wanted. Plus, spending time with Jo could never really go wrong. ]
[ his smile back eases whatever tension she might have felt opening the door - worry or whatever it was - because at least he is smiling and it's not shadowed by something else. he's just smiling and here and the hand on her arm doesn't even phase her, just makes her smile a little bigger while she steps back to let him in and then let the door close. ]
Everywhere. [ and really, it is. her closets are full (both, despite this double room being just for her) and there are boxes stacked just about everywhere, including a couple of empty bottles of wine and some empty food boxes. most of the crates are alcohol and food, and then there's a stack of what looks like books and entertainment tablets on one of the desks. ] I just grabbed what I could carry and had to make a few trips and things but- [ her smile gets a little proud here. ] I don't know, I don't think I did too bad.
[ There's a glance around as he stands there, not so much focused on what she's saying as he is the room. He's pretty familiar with it, has been for a while now. Bells feels like he can always count on her, and while that's not necessarily the right thing considering, he doesn't care.
He wanders over toward the desk, peering at some of those books and the contents of the crates. ]
Yeah, looks like it. Anything good though? 'Cause some of it seems kinda useless. [ Just a tease, and he helps himself to a seat on her bed. ]
[ jo stands back and lets him check out the stuff in her room, following behind just a few steps when he moves further in. she snorts a little at his question, giving him a look. did she mentions she's actually in a pretty good mood? ]
Well, most of those boxes are alcohol. Wouldn't call that useless. [ she picks up a box of strawberries she was eating too, looking back at him. ] And food. Grabbed clothes I'm probably not going to wear, but I can trade them with whoever.
[ He kind of laughs at the first comment. Okay, so alcohol definitely isn't useless in the scheme of things. After a second or two, he leaves that part of her room to go settle on her bed. Don't mind him if he makes himself comfortable. ]
Gonna share then? Now seems like a good time to celebrate. [ There's a slight bitterness to his tone, but he figures no one would question it. He's just glad Jo's still here, still wants to be around him for a little while longer. There's a crooked smile. ] I, uh. I missed you.
[ jo doesn't mind at all. in fact, she's going to go grab one of the bottles and then join him on the bed, taking a long pull from the bottle before holding it out to him. ]
Good of a time as any. [ she notices the bitterness, but there's not enough there for her to ask about it. instead, she just gives him a smile. small, a little tired, but there. ] Missed you too. How've you been holding up?
[ He takes it and rolls the bottle between his hands for a second, thinking about her question. ]
Okay, I guess. [ Bells takes a slow drink and eyes her as he does, suddenly really glad to see her. It hits him all at once, and he frowns, offering the bottle back. ] I dunno. A lot of stupid shit's happened since, uh...
You and Alex are the only friends I have left, you know. Dean too.
[ Maybe. He's not really sure on that one anymore. But he carefully steers around one name in particular, tilting his head back to look at the ceiling. ]
[ she takes the bottle, momentarily confused why he's frowning and what he means when it all just kind of falls into place, and her eyes go from confused to sympathetic in a matter of moments. ]
Bells- [ i'm sorry, but she bites her lip then. sorry doesn't really cut it, does it? so instead of continuing, she just takes another drink from her bottle and hands it back to him, refusing to take it back if he offers. ]
