There's a way of checking. Tyke said- Sam's communicator isn't responding. As long as he's present on the ship, that won't happen, and these devices are extremely difficult to break.

[ as strange as it might be, she kind of picked up on something going on between Cas and Dean. Just a little bit of off that hadn't been there before. It probably had something to do with Cas being from down the line, but boy did it makes things complicated.
Jo nods, understanding his logic but not liking it any more. ] Okay. I'll talk to him. But The chances of him listening aren't any better.
