[and you better be near the castle because jo harvelle is currently sprinting across the Thor District and trying to make it to the center of town. she might even barrel over an old lady. and she won't even care.]
[ And of course, he stays. In fact, he had texted Jo before doing anything else. He had sat down right there in the castle and figured out the entire works of the bracelet on his own, right down to the list of travellers in the city. Dean and Sam Winchester, Castiel (boy, he's heard that name a lot over angel radio), and Jo Harvelle. Jo got the honor of his first message. She is pretty much family, after all, and he's missed her.
When you're through barreling that old lady over, Jo, you can find Ash with an enormous grin on his face and his arms stretched out. Hug. Now. ]
Well, it's a small world after all. Fancy meeting you in the Disneyland of the Norse gods.
[It's a very good thing that he stayed, because if she had run all this way and hadn't been able to find him? Oh boy, would there be hell to pay. And a lot of angry messages and calls and it just would not be pretty for anyone.
The Ash she finds though is the Ash she is looking for, grinning and ready for a hug. Because she's not going to stop running, and in fact she's going to run right up to him and all but tackle him in a hug because he's real he's here it's Ash oh god it's Ash.
And there are a lot of feelings to be had. Back home he died in the fire that destroyed the Roadhouse and she dealt with feelings then. She dealt and moved on because it was the freaking Apocalypse and since when did hunters ever have time to really think about feelings? Not that it mattered, because it hadn't even occurred to her that he could be here right now, and to be honest. This is probably one of the greatest days she's had in a really long time.
Like.
A really long time.]
You're the one that's late, doctor badass. [yup, still grinning, but the hug doesn't have to go on for that much longer if he doesn't want it to. She just...needs a little reminder that this is all real. Or. As real as things can get in a magical land of Asgard.] I've been here for months.
[ Ash has always been 100% cool with dying. He never blamed the Winchesters. He just got on with things and partied it up by jumping between heavens, drinking as much beer as he pleased, and listening in on angel gossip. But news of Jo and Ellen's deaths definitely shook him.
So seeing Jo right here is both amazing and confusing. But, hey, once you've died and seen heaven, what more is there to question or say you don't believe? City of the Norse gods can exist too. It's a joyous occasion either way, and that earns her an enormous hug. ]
Late? Man, I'm never late. Party doesn't even get started 'til I arrive. You just got an early start without me.
[Not everyone can be as easy-going and accepting as you, Ash. Especially not Jo. It took her months to accept the fact she was actually dead, and even then she needs a night or two and a hard drink to get through it. It's not so much blame that it is...difficult to accept.
But everything is better with Ash around. Party or no party, sometimes she needs that level, mullet-ed head to keep her sane.]
Early start? I'm sorry, but I've been here for months. You are late.
