it's the truth, but like always, the truth is so horrible, so twisted and makes dean feel like his hands are never going to wash clean, that his immediate reaction is to cut this right here and now... no matter that he and jo are finally talking again.

[ she's not really sure what to think of his response, or how long it takes him to get back to her. whatever it is can't be good, and her mind goes off in all the wrong directions. all sorts of ways that leave her a little more unsettled than she originally ha been.
