[ he goes back to a life he doesn't fit anymore. he goes back to fall off the wagon. he goes back to dean asking for him to go back to purgatory, to get sam out, and dean sends him there by cutting off his head.
he doesn't get back out again.
it's the truth, but like always, the truth is so horrible, so twisted and makes dean feel like his hands are never going to wash clean, that his immediate reaction is to cut this right here and now... no matter that he and jo are finally talking again.
