but then it drops, falters, falls away. dean. ] He was uh- [ she ends up stepping a little away from buffy, needing a little space to deal with remembering just how much she misses him. ] He was here for a little bit, about two months ago. He didn't remember anything, and was gone a few days later. [ she forces a smile after that, like it doesn't bother her that dean isn't here. like it doesn't matter. ] But it's fine. He always hated it more than the rest of us.
I doubt if I'll ever go with a secret identity. The secret's pretty out anymore.

Yeah, well, the abilities here aren't something to ignore, but flying? That'd be pretty cool.
[ yeah okay she can be happy enough for buffy for that. even if it's fleeting. even when the crushing weight of gale might never come back. it shakes her to her core, and she's glad for the hug, if anything because it means she can tuck her face into buffy's shoulder and not worry about hiding it all. ]
